Ouray has become a hot spot for canyoning. SJMG offers a number of different tours for different levels of canyoneers. From the scenic, but relatively mellow Portland Creek Canyon to the adventurous Cascade Canyon we have a wet and wild adventure for everyone!
Canyoning combines different elements of technical descent, whitewater challenges, and incredible scenery. Our canyons are much different than the well known slot canyons of the desert southwest. Unlike the red sandstone walls of Utah; we have technicolor cave drops, huge flowing waterfalls, and alpine scenery. Canyoning in Ouray is a very unique experience suited for those with a thirst for adventure!
